60,000 Trees Planted with Ecosia by Delta’s Community

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability: with over 3,000,000 searches we have planted 60,000 trees through the use of Ecosia, a search engine that uses its profits to fund reforestation projects.

By using Ecosia as our default search engine across all our academies and head office, we have collectively contributed to a greener planet. This achievement underscores our dedication to environmental responsibility and educating the next generation about the importance of sustainability.

Our commitment to a greener future extends beyond tree planting. We are proud to operate a self-sufficient residential centre, Dallowgill, which demonstrates our practical approach to sustainability. This centre not only supports our students in environmental learning, it also minimizes our environmental impact.

Some of our academies have also achieved the prestigious Green Flag Eco School award, recognising their exceptional work in environmental education. These academies have demonstrated a strong commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and inspiring their communities to live more sustainably.
