How To Apply

Each application must fall into one of these three categories:

Pursuit Of Excellence

The fund supports the pursuit of excellence and encourages the development of talent in young people whatever that might be. In the past, grants have been awarded to pupils or students who are excelling in their chosen sport. But the Charitable Trust does not only cover sporting achievement. Applications are invited from young people aged between 5 and 19, who attend one of the academies sponsored by Delta Academies Trust.

International Relations

The fund would consider applications from students or groups of students who would like to develop international links. In the past, the fund has contributed to exchange visits where it believes the visit will enhance student development and experiences. The Charitable Trust continues to develop its international links, and work is commencing on links to every continent of the world.

Enterprise

With a wish to support the local economy and local people, the Charitable Trust would also consider applications from students who once attended one of Delta’s academies, who would like to either start up a new business, or need funding to develop an innovative business idea. Applications are welcomed from local entrepreneurs up to the aged of 25.

Where does the money come from?

The money available for awarding grants are monies which have been raised by staff and parents within Delta Academies Trust.

    Monitoring

After the grants has been awarded DACT will want to ensure that the funds are used as expected, and review the intended benefits and what has been achieved.

    Diversity Policy

Delta Academies Charitable Trust give equal treatment to all applicants irrespective of race, colour, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic origins, disability, age, gender or marital status.

    Publicity

With each grant or donation awarded, the Directors of the Delta Academies Charitable Trust will actively seek positive publicity opportunities. This will then help to increase the awareness of the fund to attract further applications and funding for young people to develop.

    Repeat Applications

Due to the number of applications and the limited amount of funding available, any applicant who has received a grant or donation within the last two years, will be declined.
