Over 250 Delta Students Graduate from The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme

Last week, over 100 Delta students celebrated their graduation from The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme at the University of Sheffield, with a further 150 students set to graduate before the end of term at Sheffield, Leeds and Newcastle universities.

The Scholars Programme offers students a unique opportunity to experience university-style learning. As part of the programme, students worked closely with a PhD researcher, taking part in a series of group tutorials and producing a final assignment that reflects university-level thinking and academic writing.

One pupil shared:

“The subject that we were studying was extremely enjoyable and incredibly interesting; the programme differs in all aspects from regular school subjects and has allowed us to have an insight on university that school couldn’t solely offer us.”

Another reflected on the challenge and reward:

“The programme was really tough and difficult, however that was probably what made the end result that much more amazing. It was really helpful, and I will continue to use the skills I have learned in the rest of my life.”

This has been a challenging and rewarding experience, designed to develop our students’ knowledge, academic confidence and aspirations for the future. These graduation events are a chance to recognise and celebrate their achievements and the effort, resilience, and curiosity that brought them to this point.

Congratulations to all of our Delta Scholars for their dedication and success.
