Every year hundreds of schools across the United Kingdom enter students into the “Young Writers” competition. 

The challenge set by the competition this year was to create a poem inspired by the theme of: Hopes and Dreams. 

Valley Academy is delighted to announce that Daniel Mndima in Year 9, was a successful participant in the ‘Young Writers’ competition.  Daniel’s entry “A Small Hero in a Big Fake World” has been published alongside other successful entrants. 

Daniel’s poem captures this theme in a mature and thought-provoking way, his writing is a testament to his creativity, imagination and dedication to writing.

All the students and staff at Valley Academy are incredibly proud of Daniel’s achievement.
